Little Brothers Friends Of The Elderly

Marquette, MIOctober 16, 2020 – Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly is hosting their annual holiday meals for the elderly in the Marquette area and they are looking for your help.

Erin Shei, Volunteer Coordinator, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to put the call out for volunteers.

Shei said the meals will be on Thanksgiving and Christmas as usual, but this year, due to the pandemic, they are only available by home delivery or curbside pickup with no sit-down meals offered.

That means volunteers are needed as delivery drivers to get the dinners to those elderly in the community.  Shei added that there is also a need for help to do the curbside pickup at the Silver Creek Church in Harvey.

Shei said the best way to get signed up to help, or to get a meal delivered or set for pickup, is to register online at the Little Brothers website or by calling their office at (906) 273-2575.

LISTEN – Erin Shei, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly Volunteer Coordinator, with more about volunteering at their upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas meals in the Marquette area.
