Marquette, Michigan – March 27, 2019 -It’s no secret that the majority of world-wide web users love cats. All cats. Cat pictures, cat videos, cat memes, you name it, there’s a cat on social media for it.
But I promise you, there is no other like this one I came across today.
Tatiana Rastorgueva is the owner of a 7 month old Maine Coon cat named Valkyrie.
Rastorgueva, obviously very infatuated with her feline
companion, uploaded a few pictures of her furry friend on social media, never thinking that in a few short hours her photos would go viral. And for good reason, as Valkyrie does not look like your average Maine Coon kitty. Just take a look for yourself.
In my humble opinion, Valkyrie looks like her name should be Karen, and she wants to complain to the manager because she can no longer use her expired coupon at the local department store.
The cat looks so human, it’s disturbing. But nobody can quite point out what exactly makes her look so human-like. Her bone structure? Her eyes? Her expressions? You be the judge.
No matter your opinion, Rastorgueva’s photos of her human-like kitty have gained millions of “likes” and views over the last several months. This definitely qualifies the fur ball as a viral sensation.
She also kind of reminds me of the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. Creepy.
According to Rastorgueva, she purchased Valkyrie from a Russian cat website.
Maine Coon Cats are gigantic domesticated cats known for their size and amazingly thick fur coat. They’re also expert hunters.
