Negaunee, MichiganMarch 25, 2019 – As a Finnish girl (Niemisto is my maiden name!), something that I really struggle with when trying to eat healthier is avoiding sugar. Finns love their sugar and baked goods, and I am no exception!

So, when I started the Keto Diet last week, the first thing on my mind was how to make and incorporate non-sugary “sweets” into the diet.

To my surprise, I found a TON of recipes! There’s these things call Keto “Fat Bombs” that are actually encouraged on the diet. Find great recipes for a bunch of delicious Fat Bombs here.

For a quick background – the Keto Diet is short for ketosis, which is the process of burning existing fat instead of incoming carbs that your body goes through when you’ve drastically cut your carbs and sugar and significantly upped your “good” fat and protein intake. Read more about it here.

The good news is, I’ve already lost SIX POUNDS since last Monday! Seriously, just one week of doing the Keto Diet and I’ve lost six pounds. It’s incredible. The physical activity I’ve done has consisted of yoga and running around with my 7-year-old, Holden.
