Negaunee, Michigan – March 20, 2019 – I don’t know about you, but at this point, I barely remember what grass looks like.
Looking at this picture of my son, Holden, playing soccer in spring of 2018 is practically surreal. Grass? WHAT?
But yes, today IS the “first day of spring,” whether it actually looks/feels like it or not!
Hallelujah. It’s about time. There’s light at the end of the tunnel, folks!
This year, my husband Cody and I signed up to coach Holden’s soccer team through the SSA (Superiorland Soccer Association). It’s going to be an adventure.
See, Cody played soccer the entirety of his youth, through high school, and has played adult pick-up soccer since.
Myself? Well, as you may or may not know, I was a cheerleader, a dancer, and now a yogi. I’m not much for organized sports. But I love to watch Holden play!
So when I heard that the SSA was in need of coaches, I immediately got Cody on board so that he will do the actual coaching, and I’ll be the Assistant Coach, i.e. the teller of all things important, the organizer, the get-us-to-where-we-need-to-be person.
Because I am super Type A and totally amazing at things like that. Know your strengths, my friends. I may be small in stature, but my presence is large ;)
The Coaches Rally is in April, where we find out who’s on our team and all of the rules of coaching little kids. Should be fun and interesting. I will keep you updated, as always. Stay tuned for this one!
