MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Bell Foundation is presenting the Bell Bike Race this weekend at Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.
The event is a competitive relay spinning bike race for teams of up to six people. Each relay spot will have a rider spinning for 25 minutes and allow for a five minute change-over for riders.
Each team is encouraged to raise funds for their team registration; the suggested amount per person is $100.
Race Director Jeff Nyquist joined The SUNNY Morning Show today to encourage folks to take part in this event to raise funds to help local youth.
Nyquist says the funds raised go for the hospital’s innovative “Strength from Within Program”, which is a comprehensive youth wellness and fitness challenge that engages adolescents in healthy choices and educates them on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout adulthood.
