MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Great Lakes Center For Youth Development is actively encouraging area parents to take steps to engage themselves in their children’s learning processes.
Paul Olson, Youth Development Associate with the GLCYD, joined the SUNNY Morning Show this week to discuss the concept of parental engagement.
He also explained how statistics have shown that parents that are engaged in their children’s learning has increased the effectiveness of the learning for those children.
Olson also explained that when parents become engaged in what their kids are studying, it can result in learning opportunities for the adults as well.
