
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Republican Michigan Senate Candidate Mike Carey stopped in on the Sunny Morning Show today to talk about his run for office.
Carey, who is from Channing in Dickinson County, shared some information about his background and why he is running for the 38th District Senate seat, which is currently held by Tom Casperson of Escanaba, who is term limited out.
He also talked about his key concepts and ideas of stewardship of the Upper Peninsula’s natural resources and how he feels we can capitalize on those resources in a sustainable manner to be the economic leader of the state.
Carey is running against former 108th District State Representative Ed McBroom of Vulcan in the August 7th primary, with the winner going on to face Democrat, and current 110th District State Representative, Scott Dianda of Calumet.
