Marquette, MI – October 26, 2026 – A Community Forum is being held this evening in Negaunee to highlight a recent assessment of the city’s tourism presence.
Negaunee City Manager Nate Heffron spoke about the forum with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Heffron explained that the City recently worked with Michigan State University Extension for the “First Impression Tourism” comprehensive community assessment.
It was conducted by unannounced visitors to help the City learn about their strengths and weaknesses through the eyes of first-time visitors.
Heffron said that unannounced community assessments took place throughout this summer. The results of these visits will be given at an open forum this evening at 7:00 o’clock at the Upper Peninsula Brewing Company in downtown Negaunee.
