Marquette, MI – September 29, 2026 – Project: Keep Kids Warm, an effort that has put hundreds of western Marquette County kids into new winter jackets, snow pants, boots and other winter gear, is back for it’s 17th year.
Project Coordinator Dick Derby spoke about this year’s program with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Derby said the effort by Wesley United Methodist Church is seeking financial contributions to help fund the purchase of items for the families in need. The financial support allows the group to secure winter clothing in large quantities and at discounted prices from area retailers.
He explained that area schools and service organizations submit requests on behalf of the kids and orders are then filled.
