Marquette, MI – September 18, 2026 – The Indigenous Perspectives Symposium is coming up later this month on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
Schaap said the one-day symposium is focused on medicines and is on Friday, September 25th at the Northern Center. He explained that the symposium is dedicated to exploring traditions and significance of Indigenous approaches to healing and wellbeing.
Lindala added that some morning sessions will be held in a variety of locations while afternoon sessions will take place in the Northern Center.
