
Marquette, MI – September 4, 2026 – The City of Marquette is hosting a community workshop next week for the Sustainable Tourism Management Plan. All residents and community members are invited to participate in the session, which is focused on the future of tourism in Marquette.
Stachewicz explained that the purpose of the session is to hear residents’ perspectives on current pressures and opportunities from tourism in the City.
He said the session will give residents and visitors a chance to share their thoughts with planning consultants to help them understand what the community would like Marquette to work toward concerning tourism over the long term.
The public workshop is at 6:00pm on Tuesday, September 8th, in the Municipal Service Center Conference Room at 1100 Wright Street.
