Marquette, MI – August 31, 2026 – The Marquette City Commission has a pair of meetings later today.
First, the Commission has a work session at 4:00pm to discuss the city’s Capital Improvement Plan for next year. The work session will then be followed by a regular meeting at 6:00pm.
At that meeting, Commissioners will be acting on a pair of resolutions addressing sustainable tourism in the city and a possible switch in communications systems for first responders and law enforcement.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs previewed both meetings with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Both meetings are at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
