MSU Extension Funding On August 4th Ballot

Marquette, MIJuly 24, 2026 – Voters in three U.P. counties will be deciding the fate of funding for local services provided by Michigan State University Extension on August 4th.

Ballot proposals to renew existing funding are before voters in Alger and Luce counties, while voters in Schoolcraft County are deciding on a new proposed millage to fund MSU Extension programs there.

Erin Daines, District Director for MSU Extension in District 2, spoke about the ballot proposals with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

She highlighted some of the key programs and services that would be supported if voter approve the requests, and shared how to find out more about MSU Extension and the ballot proposals.
