Marquette, MI – July 19, 2026 – A chance to enjoy a classic Shakespeare tale in a truly different, and summery, way is happening this week at the Lake Superior Theatre in Marquette. The Superior Shakespeare Company is presenting “As You Like It” with a distinct twist.
Director Sevi Voight discussed the production with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Voight explained that the play is being presented in the theme of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville with an emphasis on wit, whimsy, and romance.
He said audiences will enjoy the classic Shakepeare story as a tropical ride of danger, comedy and romance as the characters travel through modern Margaritaville.
The show will run on Tuesday, July 21 through Friday, July 24, with all shows at 7:30pm at the Lake Superior Theatre. Tickets are available through NMU Ticketing and AT THIS LINK.
