Marquette, MI June 12, 2026 – Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh and Justice Noah Hood were recently in the area on a tour of the Upper Peninsula.

Cavanagh and Hood spoke about the trip and more with Mark & walt in the Morning.

The pair were meeting with groups and individuals as they are on the campaign trail seeking re-election in the upcoming November general election.

Chief Justice Cavanagh talked about the functions and role of the Michigan Supreme Court and why she is looking to continue to serve. Hood also shared information about his background and his history on the Court.

Cavanagh and Hood are endorsed by the Democratic Party, but they will appear on the non-partisan section of the ballot. Cavanagh explained that voters will need to keep that in mind when they cast their ballots, as straight ticket voting will not tally a vote in that race.
