Marquette, MI – June 10, 2026 – The Marquette City Band starts their 140th season with an opening concert tomorrow night. The City Band kicks off the Summer 2026 season at 7:30pm at the Marquette Downtown Commons.
Grugin said the band will next be performing on Thursday, June 25th at 7:00pm at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural concert at the new Peg Hirvonen Bandshell at Presque Isle Park.
He added the band will also be doing a special performance at the Marquette County Exchange Club’s Freedom Fest over the 4th of July weekend at Mattson Lower Harbor Park and many other shows.
Grugin said more information about the Marquette City Band and their concerts can be found at marquettecityband.com. In the event of bad weather, their concerts will be at the Reynolds Recital Hall at NMU.
