
Marquette, MI – June 8, 2026 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting this evening with two major action items.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs previewed the meeting with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Kovacs said the Commission will be voting to set the date for a public hearing on a proposed ordinance addressing e-bike and other low-powered electric mobility device use in the city.
She added the Commission will also be voting on a resolution to address the future use of the current D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans site located in Marquette. The facility is closing late next year as a new facility is being built in Marquette Township.
The meeting is at 6:00pm at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
