Marquette, MI – April 24, 2026 – Goof-Fest is back on Sunday in Negaunee.
It’s a celebration of the memory of the one and only Goofus, whose real name was Alan Ammesmaki.
The event runs from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Smarty’s Saloon on Iron Street, and it’s a fundraiser for a pair of scholarships for seniors at Negaunee High School set up in Goofus’ memory.
Soeltner said there will be karaoke by Pierre Ogea, prizes, raffles and a specially-brewed Goofus beer from By George Brewing in Munising available for all to help out the cause.
