Marquette, MI – April 10, 2026 – Derek Swajanen, a long-time Marquette County attorney, is running for the 96th District Court judgeship.
Swajanen spoke about his campaign with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Swajanen talked about his background, why he has decided to run for the job and outlined some of his qualifications for the post.
He listed what experience he brings to voters for their consideration after nearly three decades of being a practicing attorney who has worked as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney.
Swajanen added that he is available to meet with residents and talk about his campaign and that he is reachable through his campaign website and Facebook page.
