
Marquette, MI – March 2, 2026 – The Marquette Area Public Schools are holding the first of two Town Hall Meetings today for residents to learn more about a bond proposal on the May 5-th ballot. In the proposal, the district is seeking just under $60 million in a bond for facility infrastructure updates.
Sedgwick explained that each session will include an optional guided tour of the school building, followed by a presentation outlining improvements to be funded if the proposal passes.
He said the meetings are this afternoon at Bothwell Middle School and tomorrow at Marquette Senior High School. Both sessions will feature a building tour at 3:30pm, with the presentation at 5:00pm.
