
Marquette, MI – February 26, 2026 – Governor Gretchen Whitmer delivered her eighth and final State of the State address last night in Lansing.
In the address, the term-limited governor reflected on successes of her past two terms and also pushed for legislative priorities including stepped-up literacy and housing initiatives.
Whitmer also talked about a state-wide tour she is going to be undertaking over the next several months to share the successes of her tenure in office and to hear from Michiganders about their issues and concerns.
