Marquette, MI – February 23, 2026 – Overnight lake effect snow showers have created poor driving conditions this morning due to high winds. The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township says winds out of the north as high as 40 mph are creating areas of blowing snow near the Lake Superior shoreline and in higher elevations of Marquette County.
Roads are snow covered and slippery this morning and areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility at times. Please drive with caution.
