Marquette, MI – February 19, 2026 – Some icy roads are being reported across inland portions of Marquette County and in parts of the western U.P. this morning.
As a result, there are a handful of school closings today:
The NICE Community Schools are closed due to iced up roads and freezing drizzle making travel hazardous. Christ The King Preschool in Ishpeming is closed today, as are all Houghton and Keweenaw County schools.
Road conditions are expected to improve through the morning, but authorities are urging everyone to drive with caution.
