Marquette, MIFebruary 18, 2026 – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect today for Marquette County and the surrounding region. The National Weather Service office in Negaunee Township says the Warning is in effect until 7:00 o’clock tonight, eastern time.

A mix of heavy precipitation will continue through the day, with snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches expected with up to 10 inches in the higher terrain of northern Marquette County. Ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch are also possible, with winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Officials say travel will be very difficult at times today. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility, and heavy, wet snow and gusty winds could bring down tree branches and power lines.
