
Marquette, MI – January 10, 2026 – The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education is putting a bond proposal on the ballot in May. It is a 1.55 mill plan to raise $59.9 million for facilities updates and improvements across the district.
Sedgwick explained that the move comes after two major facilities studies identified over $100 million in infrastructure needs across the district. He added that the bond will address the highest-priority needs identified in the district’s Facilities Master Plan.
