Marquette, MI – February 4, 2026 – Preparations are underway for the 2026 Heikki Lunta Winter Festival this weekend in Negaunee. The winter celebration features activities Friday through Sunday with multiple outdoor events celebrating winter.
Negaunee City Manager Nate Heffron spoke about the weekend with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Heffron shared some of the key highlights, including the Meijer State Games opening ceremonies and a snowboarding Rail Jam competition Friday evening in the downtown, an ice fishing tournament on Teal Lake and winter fireworks on Saturday night.
