Marquette, MI – January 15, 2026 – The annual runnings of the UP 200, Midnight Run and Jackpine 30 sled dog races are coming up in less than month.
U.P. 200 Board President Ross Anthony shared a full update with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Anthony said the trail and weather conditions are looking very good for the races and preparations are right on track, even with the heavy amounts of snow that have hit the region in the last couple of weeks.
He explained that Opening Ceremonies for the UP 200 and the Midnight Run start Friday, February 13, at 6:30pm in downtown Marquette, with the first UP 200 sled dog team out of the gate at 7:00 p.m., with the Midnight Run also starting Downtown at 8:30 p.m.
Anthony said Race Headquarters will, once again, be at the Holiday Inn in Marquette and all of the pertinent race weekend info can be found at UP200.org.
