Marquette, MI – November 14, 2025 – On our latest Wildcat Wednesday, we heard about a new collaboration between the Northern Michigan University Hospitality Program and the Delft Bistro in Marquette.
MacDonald explained that the new idea gives students in the program a “real world” opportunity to create and plate an entree as a final project for their first semester in the culinary and professional cooking program.
She added that the entrees will be reviewed by the management team at the Delft, and the top finishers will then be showcased as menu items at the restaurant during the month of December.
Ingmire explained that many on the Delft management team, including him, are graduates of NMU’s hospitality program, and the collaboration seemed like a natural fit.
