Marquette, MI – November 13, 2025 – The Marquette Area Public Schools say results of a recent community survey will shape their plan to address critical district building and infrastructure needs.
Sedgwick said the survey, which was mailed out to every district household, and was available online, was conducted by an independent national research firm to gauge public opinion about going to voters for funding.
He explained that the action was taken after two studies identified $100 million in facility needs.
Sedgwick said the survey results indicate that the majority of respondents support a $60 million bond proposal to address the biggest of those needs, and the district will now use the data to develop a plan to best address student and staff needs.
