
Marquette, MI – November 5, 2025 – NICE Community Schools Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine is voicing his concerns and frustrations with the current federal government shutdown.
DeAugustine said that the longer the shutdown continues, the potential impacts to various programs in the NICE district could be very detrimental, and he said that lawmakers should put their differences aside and get to work.
He also shared some thoughts and updates about the shift into the Winter sports season, the expansion of the Aspen Ridge School and more, including increased academic learning partnerships with Northern Michigan University.
