Marquette, MI – October 24, 2025 – Tomorrow is National Drug Take Back Day and State Police across the region are taking part. It is national initiative that encourages residents to safely dispose of expired and unused prescription pills.
Michigan State Police Lt. Ben Eckola spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Eckola said all State Police posts will be open tomorrow from 10:00am to 2:00pm to accept unwanted medications.
He added that all pills will be collected with no questions asked and will be properly destroyed, but liquids, inhalers, patches and syringes will not be accepted.
