Marquette, MI – August 12, 2025 – Bay College is moving into the fall semester with an eye on programs and student opportunities.
Dr. Nerita Hughes, President of Bay College, shared an update today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Hughes talked about how Bay is addressing and adapting to challenges with student recruitment and retention, including the interest of potential students in going to college.
She also outlined how Bay differs as a community college from a four year institution with specific programs that give a student the chance to learn a career that will earn them a successful living.
Hughes also explained how the Bay College team is working to create and develop collaborative opportunities with both high school and 4-year universities in the region to increase student success.
