Marquette, MI – August 11, 2025 – The Marquette City Commission has a special work session and a regular meeting coming up this evening. Commissioners will be holding the work session at 5:00pm to discuss the city’s strategic plan.
That session will be followed by the Commission’s regular meeting at 6:00pm.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs spoke about the meetings with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
At their regular meeting, Commissioners will be discussing a Tax Increment Financing plan for the Downtown Development Authority that covers a portion of Third Street. The plan is a public financing tool used by city governments to fund development projects in designated areas.
Both meetings will be at Commission chambers at Marquette City Hall.
