Marquette, MI – July 31, 2025 – Kognisjon Bryggeri is rolling out a new beer to benefit the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter.
“George’s Superior Sunset”, a cherry wheat ale, debuts this Friday, August 1, at Kognisjon Bryggeri on North Third Street in Marquette from 6-9pm.
Amber Talo with UPAWS spoke about the event and the beer with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Talo explained George, the pooch, is a dog who enjoys watching sunsets and is being used as a symbol to encourage people to appreciate life’s simple pleasures and support animal welfare.
She said “George’s Superior Sunset” is brewed by Kognisjon Bryggeri to benefit UPAWS, with a portion of each pint sold will be donated to the Shelter.
