Marquette, MI – July 18, 2025 – Eagle Scout candidate Simon Jaklin from Negaunee Boy Scout Troop BSA 346 is looking for some folks to help out with an effort he is leading as part of his requirements to receive the highest merit.
Jaklin spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Jaklin explained that he is leading a project that will perform some light maintenance and preparation to paint the B-52-D Stratofortress currently on display at the K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air Museum.
He said is looking for a crew of able-bodied helpers of all ages to help with the effort.
Jaklin added that he is a big military airplane and aviation buff and when he heard the B-52 at the KI Sawyer Heritage Air Museum needed some care, this project was the obvious choice.
