Marquette, MI – July 3, 2025 – Independence Day celebrations in Ishpeming are happening this Saturday, July 5th.
Rodda explained that organizers voted a few years ago to move Ishpeming’s celebration to the first Saturday of July to open up more events for the public to enjoy for the holiday.
She said the highlights of the day’s events include the parade runs through the downtown at 10:30am, followed by the Community Picnic all day at the Al Quaal Recreation area, followed by fireworks at dusk.
Rodda added that there is call out for volunteers for the picnic, to help run some of the games for the kids. Those who would like to volunteer can reach out to Kelly Milano at 906-204-9850.
