Marquette, MI – May 27, 2025 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting this evening. The meeting is being held tonight, on a Tuesday, due to yesterday being the Memorial Day holiday.
Tonight, the Commission will be revisiting a proposed ordinance defining limitations on the overnight occupation of public property.
Kovacs said the proposed ordinance was introduced at a Commission meeting in late March, but a final vote was tabled by the Commission to allow for revisions to be made.
She said following a series of meetings and discussions between the City and various stakeholders, it has been amended and will be voted on this evening.
Tonight’s meeting is at 6:00 o’clock at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
