Marquette, MI – May 16, 2025 – The City of Marquette is hosting a Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Marquette Police Department at City Hall at 300 West Baraga Avenue.
Dave Stensaas, Marquette City Planner, spoke about the event with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Stensaas said it is a free, family friendly community event for children of the City of Marquette ages 5-12 that includes helmet and bike fitting, pre-ride safety checks and basic maintenance performed by local bike shop mechanics.
He added that there will also be skills and obstacle courses, and a safety fair to include displays from local emergency responders’ vehicles and equipment.
Stensaas said registration is required, and it can be done at the City of Marquette website.
The rain day for the event is scheduled for June 1, 2025.
