Marquette, MI – May 12, 2025 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting coming up this evening.
Kovacs said Commissioners will be taking action on proposed a series of ordinance updates related to upcoming changes in garbage pickup in the city.
She added that the Commission is also voting to award the contract for the building of the Marquette Culture Center and Trailhead.
Kovacs explained that the project will renovate the interior of the former Lake Superior Community Partnership building on South Front Street at Father Marquette Park to house the City’s Arts and Culture offices.
It will also create an accessible trailhead to connect the park to the City’s multi-use pathway.
The meeting begins at 6:00pm at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
