Candidates For Negaunee Schools Superintendent Job Narrowed To Two

Marquette, MIApril 23, 2025 – The Negaunee Public School district has announced two finalists in their search to hire a new Superintendent.

The district says they are Former Superintendent of the Gwinn Area Community Schools Brandon Bruce, who is currently the Principal at the Hart Public Schools in downstate Oceana County, and Andrew Skewis, who is currently the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Negaunee Schools.

Current Negaunee Superintendent Dan Skewis spoke about the search with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Skewis recently announced he will be retiring as Superintendent at the end of this school year.

He said that there are public interviews that will be held with the two candidates on Tuesday, April 29th, at the Negaunee High School Media Center.

Bruce will be interviewed at 5:00pm while Andrew Skewis will be interviewed at 6:15pm.
