
Marquette, MI – March 14, 2025 – March is Reading Month in Michigan and several events and activities are being held around the region to commemorate and celebrate literacy.
Seminoff shared some history about the founding of the Literacy Legacy Fund of Michigan and the formation of the month-long program to highlight reading and learning. She also gave some information about some of the events that are happening in the area to promote reading.
Bur talked about the involvement of Northern’s Center for Rural Health and some of the outreach they have been able to do around the Upper Peninsula to increase literacy, health and opportunities for hands-on learning for NMU students.
