Marquette, MI – February 21, 2025 – The all-new Kona Hills Campground south of Marquette has opened reservations for the upcoming outdoor camping season.
Co-Owner Jeremy Johnson spoke about the campground with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Johnson explained that the campground is located between Marquette and Harvey and is situated on the top of the bluff locally known as the “rock cut” along US-41/M-28, and features unique opportunities for rustic tent and car camping.
He also talked about the five-year permitting and development process he and his partners have worked through to get the campground up and running for this year.
Johnson added that for their first season, some amenities are going to be limited, but they are working to get full upgrades in place within a year.
