Marquette, MI – February 17, 2025 – State Senator Ed McBroom is recapping a busy weekend in the Marquette area with events held in conjunction with the UP 200 sled dog races.
McBroom shared his thoughts on the sessions today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
McBroom said having the races again after a two-year weather-related hiatus brought a large contingent of state lawmakers and other government officials to Marquette for the starting ceremonies and many meetings and receptions were held to showcase the region.
He added that getting lawmakers and other state decision makers to the U.P. is always good opportunity to highlight the character and the challenges unique to the area that gives the visitors insight when planning policy and casting their votes.
