Marquette, MI – February 13, 2025 – Northern Michigan University is ready to show their full support of the UP200 Sled Dog Race this weekend as the race returns after two years off due to bad weather.
The university became a Gold Sled Sponsor with naming rights three years ago, but this year is the first time the actual race will be run under that relationship!
Hall said the official name for the race is the “UP200 – Powered by NMU.”
He explained that the partnership formalizes volunteering, learning and participation opportunities for NMU students, faculty and staff, and the partnership will finally get to be fully ramped up with this weekend’s race in Marquette and Alger Counties.
