Marquette, MI – January 16, 2025 – Air service has expanded at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport. Officials say new Delta Connection flights to Minneapolis by SkyWest Airlines began after the start of the new year.
Marquette Director Duane Duray spoke about the service updates with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Duray said SkyWest currently operates flights to Detroit from Sawyer, and the expanded flights come after officials with the airport and the Lake Superior Community Partnership met with SkyWest last year to make a business case for the increased service.
He explained that the upgrade includes the route to Minneapolis and expanded and better-timed service to Detroit.
