
Marquette, MI – December 30, 2024 – The State of Michigan has funded an initiative to address a critical shortage of direct care workers.
The IMPART Alliance recently received a $25 million state grant to get the word out about becoming a direct care worker and to support resources available to assist those who provide direct care.
Anderson explained that the Alliance advocates for the direct care workforce and is building awareness of the lack of direct care workers in Michigan.
Paad talked about the Caregiver Incentive Project, which is a nonprofit that supports in-home caregivers and those in need of care throughout the U.P.
He outlined how their group is working in partnership with the IMPART Alliance on a local level here in Upper Michigan.
