Marquette, MI – November 25, 2024 – Project Keep Kids Warm is continuing the drive to provide winter clothing to families in need in western Marquette County, but the effort will be wrapping up soon.
Project Coordinator Dick Derby shared an update today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Derby said response to the program, which serves families in the Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Republic area, has grown, and there is a need for some additional fundraising.
He reminded people that there is still time to make a financial donation to allow the the group to meet the need for winter clothing.
Derby explained that the financial support goes directly to the purchase of large quantities of kid’s winter clothes at discounted prices from area retailers.
Derby said to make donations out to: Wesley United Methodist Church and mail them to P.O. Box 342 Ishpeming, MI 49849.
One hundred percent of the funds will be used to purchase new winter items.
