Marquette, MI – October 14, 2024 – The Michigan Department of Transportation says the traffic configuration at the US-41/M-28 roundabout project in Ishpeming is changed as of today.
M-DOT spokesperson Dan Weingarten talked about the project with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Weingarten explained that traffic has been shifted to one lane in each direction, with eastbound traffic on the south side of the roundabout and westbound traffic on the north side.
He added no turns will be allowed at North or South Lakeshore Drive, and detours will remain in place.
This is the final stage of the project, and it is expected to last until the end of the month.
Weingarten says drivers should slow down and drive with caution in the work zone and expect delays during this traffic shift.
