Marquette, MI – October 11, 2024 – Governor Gretchen Whitmer is praising a recent state economic development grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund that is assisting in the construction of a new manufacturing plant in Marquette.
Whitmer spoke about the grant and more with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Whitmer says the recent $500,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant is helping Able Medical Devices construct a 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
She added that the new plant will lead to good-paying jobs, drive regional economic growth, and solidify Michigan’s leadership in the medical devices industry.
Whitmer also shared her thoughts on Michigan being a key swing state in this year’s elections and why it is important get registered and cast your vote.
