Marquette, MI – September 12, 2024 – Activity on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail is continuing as the summer season wraps up and moves into the fall.
Hendrickson gave a wrap-up of the summer season and highlighted some projects that users of the IOHT will see.
He also talked about a special millage request on the ballot in Ely, Humboldt and Republic Townships that, if passed, would help with continuing maintenance and upkeep in the far western end of the Trail.
The proposal is going before voters in those districts in the upcoming November election.
